Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the relationships between the scientific research self- efficacy levels of Physical Education Teachers and various demographic variables (professional experience, age, gender, education level, place of residence and marital status). The study group of the research consists of 342 physical education teachers, 186 (53.9%) women and 156 (45.2) men, working in secondary and high schools affiliated to Ağrı and Van Provincial Directorates of National Education. In the research, survey model, which is one of the quantitative research designs that is frequently used in the descriptive research method, was used. Personal information form, "Teacher Self- Efficacy Scale for Scientific Research" developed by Akçöltekin, (2019) was used to collect research data. SPSS 22.00 program was used in the analysis of the study data. In addition, descriptive statistical methods (Number, Percentage, Mean and Standard Deviation) were used for the analysis of the data. One-Way MANOVA Analysis was performed to compare the independent variables with the t-test and quantitative data, and a statistical significance level of P<0.05 was determined. Tukey test, which is one of the Post-Hoc Tests, was used to determine the groups that caused the difference. Before answering the problem statement in the study, it was investigated whether the Manova method was suitable for our variables. According to the findings obtained from the research, it was determined that there was a significant difference between the independent variables of professional experience, age, gender, education level, place of residence and marital status and the scores of scientific research self-efficacy sub-dimensions. It was determined that the sub-dimensions of the participants' self-efficacy in scientific research showed a significant difference according to the variable of residence, and the scores differed significantly in the sub-dimensions of reporting, data analysis, literature review, method, determining hypotheses, and defining the problem. The accuracy of the hypotheses aimed in the research was ensured by the findings obtained. The findings were discussed in the light of the literature and suggestions were developed in line with the results.
