Abstract (EN)
Determination of pKa values of benzoic acid, pyridine, aniline and some derivatives in water, 10% dioxane-water solvents and Hammett relationship by UV-spectrophotometric and pH measurement method. Substituents constants (σ) were calculated with the determined pKa values by using of Hammett equation. σ-values were found as positive values for electron with-drawl substituents while negative values for electron donor substituents. Reaction constant (ρ) values were calculated from the slopes of the lines in σ-pKa and σ-ΔpKa plots.
