In this thesis, there is a stduy of fifty four Tales gatheredfrom the centre of Besni and its villages. I have taken nineteen of these fifty fourTales from the book ?Her Bakımdan Kısaca Besni? published by Salih San in1950. The Tales have been recorded without any change in the characteristic oftheir orginal places, and we have realized our study accordin to thesecharacteristic. Meanwhile, I gave all the variants of the Tales i order to indicatethe changes made by different speakers. I have analyzed the Tales obtainedfrom these gathering studies according to the ?Oral Composition Theory? whichhas gained importance increasingly.Key words: Oral Composition Theory, Tale, Singer, Listener
