Abstract (EN)
Key Words: Compactness, Freeze-Dissolve, Salt, Additive, Cavitation Ratio, StrengthIn this work, the use of salt in struggling against the effect of freeze on concrete roads and concrete art-structures was experimentally investigated by observing the changes on the sturcture.Three types of concrete with different composites were produced as fresh concrete . The water/cement ratio of these are 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5. Same concretes were also produced by using plasticizer and, both plasticizer and air entrainig additives. Samples were left in the curing condition for 28 days. Part of the samples were subjected to freeze-dissolve 20 times by using deep-freeze. During freze-dissolve 0.142 gr/cm2 NaCl concentration was used on the surface. The ultrasonic rate experiment was done on the pre-experiment and post-experiment samples and the decrease in the cavitation ratio was determined by investigating the results of these experiments. Then, the samples were subjected to compressive strength and mechanical strength results were obtained. The water/cement ratio of the concrete is certainly the most important factor on the strength due to its effect on the jam. The air entraining additive provides in a big positive effect on the concrete against the freeze-dissolve damage. In the inifial repeats of freze-dissolve of the samples which contain air entraining additives, there occurs an amount of damage, but this damage decreases later on than.
