Abstract (EN)
This thesis consists of five chapters. In the first chapter, a brief history of the Computer Aided Geometric Design (CAGD) field and the infrastructure of the results obtained in this thesis are presented together with the background information. In this chapter, we also clearly stated the position of our problems in literature. In the second chapter, the basic concepts, definitions and theorems to be used in the thesis are given. In the third chapter, spiral conditions are found for exponential Bezierlike curves constructed similar to Bezier curves, and five types of transition curves are obtained by using this spiral curve. In the fourth chapter, the spiral curve conditions are obtained for the planar trigonometric curves with two shape parameters and the transition curve conditions are examined. In the last chapter, we check the possibility of Bezier curves and Bezierlike curves to be Bloss curve or Grabowski curve which are well known in highway design. Key Words: Bezier Curves, Spiral Curves, Bloss Curves, Grabowski Curves, BDGT, Computer Aided Geometric Design.
