Computer aided preschool education and artifical intelligence

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this thesis is to search the contribution of computerisedmethods and computer systems to education in particular to pre-school education andstudents? development and to analyse the usage problems of artificial intelligencemethods in computer-aided pre-school education. In order to achieve this purpose,learning theories have been explained and child development has been analysed. Inaddition, contribution of artifical intelligence methods to education have beenresearched and certain examples have been given. Issues, such as the role of computersin education, computer-aided education and smart education systems and remoteeducation have been examined in detail.Moreover, computer-aided pre-school education have been explained in detailhere, necessity of computers in pre-school education, the advantages and disadvantagesof computer games, the benefits that will be gained through the computer-aided pre-school education and the possible problems have been explained.Next, the situation inTurkey in terms of softwares and hardwares have been analysed and suitablerecommendations have been made.
