Özet (EN)

In CNC rooter which is called as computer (or Computer Aided) Numerical Control (CNC), work pieces can be automatically produced by means of programmable CNC control units. Hence, some functional properties such as series production of work pieces, saving the programs, doing easily some changes in the programs, pause the program at any time of manufacturing and then restarting the program, make CNC machines valuable. A CNC machine tool consists of four basic units such as computer aided numerical control unit, software, servo motor, motor drivers and suitable mechanical devices. Depending on program of work pieces, control unit provides that the mechanical systems can be positioned in the X, Y and Z coordinates, by implementing the position control of electrical drives. In this thesis, a three axis CNC Router is set up and step motors are used for positioning the mechanic units in X, Y and Z coordinates and a high speed spindle motor is used for processing of the work pieces. CNC control unit is programmed with Mach 3 and ArtCAM. In the thesis, firstly position control methods of step and spindle motors are analyzed and simulation results showing the position control performances are given. Then, the processed work pieces and pictures produced in CNC machines are given as application examples. Keywords: CNC rooter, Position Control, Step motors, Spindle motor, Mach3.
