The cyberspace concept emerging by developing of computer tchnologies and its influence on architecture

The widespread use of computer technologies and the rapid developments in communication technology in recent years has created a change and transformation in all aspects of life. The effects of this can be seen in architecture. Concepts such as cyber space and virtual reality opens the way for a change in the understanding of architecture and parallel to this, opens new horizons in architectural design. The aim of this study is to examine concept of cyber architecture, the areas it effects, the inspiration behind its formation and its various applications. The first part of the study explains the formation of the concept of cyber space. The relationship between architecture and the idea of cyber space, cyber cities, where borders are removed and the concept of a city has changed will also be examined in this section. The second part of the study talks about the elements which played a role in the development of cyber space and which has given them inspiration and guidance. The third part talks about the tools needed to form cyber space. These tools save money and time, and architectures thinking and application process has been altered due to the limitless possibilities. The fourth contains applications that cyber space has effected and changed. With architecture being at the top of the list, art and science fields such as education, games, cinema and medicine have changed. The fifth stage explains the adaptation of architectural knowledge (concept, design, construction, upkeep etc.) to cyber space. The process shows typical physical design likeness in all aspects. The sixth and final section contains examples of projects of cyber architectural understanding.
