Analysis of the products designed for science-fiction movies in a conceptual approach

Product design works with various disciplines such as art and engineering. Therefore, it is in communication and interaction with other art and engineering professions. In this research, product design and cinema industry, and the products which are designed for both professions are analyzed in terms of semiology. While the relationship between product design and cinema is analyzed through the conceptual products, examples from science-fiction movies related to science and technology are chosen specifically. The research discourses; the "new product" concept in product design of science-fiction movies and the meaning that is assigned to these products. The movie "Wall-E" is chosen for an analysis in the research.
