Abstract (EN)

VI ABSTRACT Today, due to technological progress, unlimited competition and globalisation, knowledge and its acquisition have assumed utmost importance for the business world. These changes have led the initial years of the 21st century to be the "age of knowledge". Realising the obligation to change and keeping in step with the requirements of this age, and adopting these as part of their philosophy of existence, business institutions have been redirecting their studies in this respect. In the present thesis, the main point of discussion was, beginning with the necessity and structural features of knowledge, the incorporation of Informatics Systems into business institutions, as well as the utility analysis of data acquired through these systems in the decision-making process. In the application phase of the present study, an analysis of a working model was performed, with concluding discussions regarding the advantages, drawbacks, and possible prospects of the system. Owing to the business globalisation process, the importance of Informatics Systems has bean of greater importance for business institutions in extending their activities beyond national boundaries. Consequently, firms in our country are required to attach importance to that issue with a view to increase their competitive powers.
