Özet (EN)

The objective of the research is finding out whether there is a relation among problematic internet use of the final year undergraduate students, psychological symptoms, cognitive attentional syndrome (CAS), and psychological flexibility or not. The data of the research were obtained from 413 final year undergraduate students at 6 different departments in Osmaniye Korkut Ata University in the Fall Term of the 2022-2023 Academic Year. In the course of obtaining the data, "The Form of Personal Information", "The Scale of Cognitive Attentional Syndrome (CAS-1)", "The Form of Acceptance and Action 2", "The Scale of Problematic Internet Use", and "The Inventory of Short Symptom" were used. Whilst the data was being analyzed, T-Test, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Bonferroni Test, and Games Howell Test were used. Pearson Correlation Coefficient was used in order that the scales were compared. The intermediary role of acceptance action in the effect of problematic Internet use and cognitive attentional symptom on short symptoms was examined by path analysis. According to the research findings, it has been found out that there is a positive correlation among cognitive attentional syndrome, psychological flexibility, problematic internet use, and psychological symptoms statistically. Additionally, it has been identified that psychological flexibility has a partial intermediary role in the effect of problematic internet use and cognitive attentional symptom on psychological symptoms.
