Abstract (EN)
This study aims to examine the structures of gifted secondary school students studying at BİLSEM integrating ecological knowledge into the problem solving process of different disciplines and to evaluate them in terms of gender and class level. A holistic single case study, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. The study was conducted with 16 volunteer gifted secondary school students studying at BİLSEM in Adana province in the 2023-2024 academic year. A semi-structured interview form consisting of 7 open-ended questions prepared by the researcher was used for the participants. In the analysis of the qualitative data obtained from the interview form, the contingency (relationship) analysis technique, one of the content analysis techniques, was used and the findings obtained were interpreted based on the research questions. As a result, it was determined that the knowledge integration structures of gifted secondary school students studying at BİLSEM regarding the subject of Ecology were at a high level, no significant difference was found in terms of gender variable, and as the class levels increased, the knowledge accumulation of interdisciplinary knowledge integration increased.
