Abstract (EN)
In the worldwide and in our country, occupational accidents with the highest number of deaths occur in the construction sector. Construction sector is consist of construction of buildings, construction of external and special construction activities. In our country, building construction activities are developing more rapidly than the other two construction (outside of building and private construction) activities, especially with the increasing population. Due to the production of housing with the contracting system, the number of institutionalized construction companies, including occupational health and safety issues, is quite low. In order to prevent occupational accidents in buildings, dangerous situations and behaviors should be determined and precautions should be taken in the plans to be made for occupational safety. The most dangerous situation known in the construction of buildings is the falls from the height. However, the determination of the points of fall from the height, especially in the construction of the buildings, will ensure that the work safety plan to be made beforehand the production is made more accurately. In this study, a check-list was prepared to determine potential fall points at different levels of the building productions (such as level 45%, 65% and >65%) and a total of 60 check-lists were applied for each manufacturing level. In the check-list application carried out face-to-face with the building site managers, the ratio of the falling points for the three selected production levels were calculated. According to the results, the most falling points occurred in 45% of the building production level. The points that has the most falling rate in all three levels of building manufacturing are; floor stairs, fixed facade scaffolding, metal staircases, moving scaffolds, ladders, wardrobe bunk beds, stored material, crane and falls from the construction site wall.
