Abstract (EN)
Patients afflicted with HCC and cirrhosis of the liver show substantial changes in cell structure and metabolic problems. As a consequence of this study in 2021-2022, researchers were able to examine how these people' lipid metabolisms, micronutrients and chemical tests varied from one other and how this changed from their liver ailment. Agreement has been reached on a trial in Karbala with 55 healthy individuals, 14 patients with liver cancer and 53 with liver cirrhosis as well as 16 patients infected with viral hepatitis. A control group of 55 patients was also included. With viral cirrhosis and liver cancer, the metabolic nutritional profiles of patients have been changed, with major anomalies in triglyceride levels, cholesterol levels, protein levels, and iron levels in particular (ferritin). An additional metric is the hematocrit level, which is determined. Researchers think that patients with cirrhosis, regardless of whether they had hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), had greater levels of the lipid biochemical markers C, L, and D than those without cirrhosis. Lipid metabolism is affected by the presence of viral hepatitis in this group. Other studies have shown a substantial connection between many pathologies of the liver, such as cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma, malnutrition, and the hepatitis C virus.
