Özet (EN)
Human beings live together as groups throughout history and create communities to maintain their lineage. Living together experience combining with other factors such as geography, religion etc, created a totality and cultures existed as a result. Culture, which is one of the most important dynamic for keeping people together, passed down to create the lifestyles of communities and culture eventually became dogmas. These rules that create culture are expected to be obeyed by all individuals in the community. People who live in communities can form smaller groups for variety of reasons and /or new groups can join to communities. These smaller groups within the same community can move together with the community or move aganist it. These smallaer groups are called sub cultures. The sub cultures, which come together around various ideas, likes, attitutes and behaviours have the ultimate aim to exist, enlarge and reach their goals. Turkey had various sub cultures since Ottoman times and the majority of these were young people. After the 1980 military coup, the young people who grew under the neoliberal economic and politic world views formed by the coup founded subcultures revolving around metal and punk music. These subcultures have been followed by many young people eventhough they were far away from Turkish lifestyle and they also had serious opposition in Turkey where the culture is heterogenous and conservative. The young people, who were part of these subcultures and lived by their code expressed themselves in the community they lived in. The aim of this study is to study Turkish fanzines' production styles as forms of self expression from the last 25 years which evolved from punk and metal subcultures and reflect the era's sociological, cultural, artistic and even political world views. It also tries to document fanzines' relations with other dynamics if they exist. As an addition, this study is not only about the production styles of Turkish fanzines but it also examined the historical and musical factors which affected the production of fanzines in the World and political and sociologic climates which affected the production styles of Turkish fanzines.
