Ca'far al-Sadiq as a hadith source and narrator and hadith interpretation

Many personalities have emerged in the history of Islamic thought. The influence of these figures, who shaped the century in which they lived, has continued until today. One of these influential figures is Ca'far al-Sa'iq, who lived between 80-148 AH and is considered to be one of the common denominator of the two schools of thought, namely Ahl al-Sunnah and Shī'ah. In this study, first of all, the life of Ja'far al-Sa'iq is discussed in outline and some determinations are made about his life. In addition, this study aims to examine the hadiths narrated by Ja'far al-Sādiq, who is regarded as a figure highly valued by the scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah and Shī'ah, as a hadith source and a hadith narrator, comparatively by making some selections around certain samples and to examine his interpretation of hadith. In this framework, some numerical values of the narrations narrated by Ja'far al-Sādiq have also been tried to be determined. In addition, some evaluations and analyses have been made on the texts of the non-duplicate narrations of Ja'far al-Sa'iq in the Ahl al-Sunnah's Qurtub al-Tis'a. In line with this purpose, some analyses have been made with a similar methodology on some of the narrations in the same line found in al-Muwatta', one of the works of Imam Mālik, who lived in the same era as Ja'far al-Sādiq, and al-Qāfī of al-Qulaynī, which is considered one of the main sources of Shī'ah. Based on these results, it has been determined that some of the narrations of Ja'far al-Sādiq found in the Ahl al-Sunnah sources are also found in the Shī'ah sources either in the same or different formats.
