Effects of hospitality services over patient satisfaction with the patient hospitalized i̇n a state hospital

The fulfillment of the main element of the patient's health care and ensuring patient satisfaction are the main objectives of the hospital operators and managers. Because of this, the measurement and evaluation of patient satisfaction is actually very important . The competition has formed in healthcare sector as well as in other sectors. Although public hospitals are characterized by nonprofit institutions, they must reach to targets of efficiency and monthly revenue. The competition between private hospitals and public hospitals could be overcame by increasing the patient's satisfaction rates. "Customer / patient satisfaction", which means to ensure needs, expectations and demands, is one of the most important outputs of service quality measurements. The hospital establishments provide hospitality services (food-beverage, cleaning, security, etc.) to patients along with health services. In public hospitals, these services are provided by the Department of Patient Services and Health Hotel Management. In this study, it was emphasized that the effects of hospitality services in public hospitals on patient satisfaction, and the necessity to ensure the needs, expectations and demands of the patients and their relatives and the hospital employees in a reliable, comfortable, hygienic, ergonomic and aesthetic environment. Inpatient evaluations and satisfaction of the hospital; the effective communication, attitudes, behaviors and to be informed of hospital employees, and hospitality services have been decisive on inpatient's satisfaction and evaluations of hospital.
