Investigation of raw materials used in A plasticinjection facility in terms of occupational health and safety

This academic study was carried out on the basis of the activities of a facility that manufactures plastics for the white goods sector by plastic injection method. Observations have been made on occupational health and safety in the enterprise and chemical and physical hazards that occur during the production process, hazards arising from the use of machinery and equipment , industrial accidents, occupational diseases and potential hazards originating from raw materials were defined. Population was created by asking 191 employees 15 questions using the questionnaire method. In accordance with the examinations and researches conducted, it was determined that employees face physical risk factors, often suffer from occupational accidents such as burns, cuts and slip-falls, and are exposed to the chemical effects of raw materials used. It has been concluded that the necessary measures have not been taken regarding occupational health and safety in the workplace and that the workplace facilities are insufficient.
