An application on patient satisfaction in primary care services: Istanbul Maltepe example

With the increasing need for health services in the developing and changing world, the value of health services is increasing day by day. In this process, Family Health Centers, which are one of the primary health care services, have a great role in terms of preventive health services. The aim of this research is to measure the satisfaction levels of patients who apply to primary health care institutions, the service they receive from health institutions and their satisfaction levels with health institutions. In the first part of the study, the role of health services, departments and family medicine were introduced, and in the second part, family medicine was mentioned within the scope of primary care and patient satisfaction studies conducted over the years and foreing studies conducted with the EUROPEP scale were mentioned. The third part of the study is devoted to the research part of the study. The patient questionnaire form and the Turkısh version of EUROPEP were applied to 400 patients by face-to-face method. The data in the study were analyzed with the SPSS 25.0 package program. Factor analysis, reliability analysis, t and ANOVA tests were used in the study. As a result of the research; housewives are more likely than other occupational groups, transportation difficulties are more likely than other criteria, married people are more likely than single people, those who have children are more likely than those who do not have children, secondary school graduates are more likely than others in terms of education, and people with lower income status in terms of income status show significance in physician valuation.
