Özet (EN)
This study was conducted to examine and evaluate the texts in the Turkish textbooks taught in multigrade classes from the perspective of multigrade class teachers. Basic qualitative research design, one of the qualitative research models, was used in the study. The study group of the research consists of 18 multigrade class teachers who teach multigrade classes in Diyarbakır center and districts in the 2022-2023 academic year. The data related to the research were obtained through interviews. Criterion sampling approach was used in the selection of participants. The main criterion in the study was that the teachers were teaching in multigrade classes. The interviews of the teachers who volunteered for the interview were recorded with a voice recorder. The researcher used descriptive analysis in the analysis of the data obtained from the views of multigrade class teachers on the texts in Turkish textbooks. Based on the data obtained within the scope of the research, multigrade class teachers stated that the texts were not suitable for the grade levels of unified class students and that students had problems in understanding the text. It was determined that one of the important problems that teachers experienced in the process was the lack of time and that the texts were not completed within the given time. In addition, it was concluded that the texts in the Turkish textbooks taught in multigrade classes are not suitable for the environment in which students live. Based on the findings of the research; the texts in the Turkish textbooks taught in multigrade classes should be rearranged by considering the environmental conditions of the multigrade classes, the content of the texts should be determined by considering the conditions of the multigrade classes, and in order to overcome the difficulties caused by the level difference in the multigrade classes, activities suitable for each grade level should be included. Keywords: Multigrade classes, Turkish textbooks, text.
