Abstract (EN)

In this thesis study, problems encountered by women entrepreneurs in business life were first discussed with the concept of entrepreneurship within the historical process; the characteristics of entrepreneurs, their politics, and their economic and social importance were examined. The reasons that motivated the woman to be an entrepreneur, the advantages and disadvantages brought by being a woman in working life, differences between male and female entrepreneurs, female entrepreneurial types and models and institutions and organizations that support women entrepreneurs have also taken part in the work to solve the problems. Although the concept of entrepreneurship is generally associated with male entrepreneurs, the concept of female entrepreneurs is now valid. Since women's view of business life is more integrated and positive than most male entrepreneurs, this conceptual distinction has been not originated from the gender gap but from the socio-economic perspective. Apart from the woman entrepreneur's house, she is the person who owns the place of business by establishing her place of business on her own behalf, who is able to take and apply the decisions regarding her own business. A woman entrepreneuris the person who owns the place of business apart from her house by establishing her place of business on her own behalf or establishes partnership, also is able to take and apply the decisions regarding her own business. At the same time, she is described as an entrepreneur who can effectively use, analyze and finalize capital resources, create good ideas, produce and sell goods and services on the market and pay tax. Entrepreneurship has a significant impact on the development of countries and in developing countries like Turkey, women entrepreneurs constitute an important pillar of these societies. While women entrepreneurs provide local development, social benefits and employment opportunities should not be neglected. However women who are not able to benefit from their competencies, receive many more positions in the labor market at the same time while working in many fields but they are still not effective at the desired level in the country as a whole. The reason why women entrepreneurs are not being benefited from the desired level brings with the necessity of revealing the problems of women entrepreneurs. Although these problems arise from gender, this is followed by lack of education, lack of capital, organizational commitment and bureaucratic obstacles. As a result, a questionnaire study on the problems of women entrepreneurs in Bitlis province was carried out and statistical results were obtained with this survey study by examining the women's problems in terms of economic, social, micro, financial, bureaucratic environment and education and organizational dimension. According to these results; the result of the reliability analysis revealed that the questionnaire was very reliable according to the Cronbach Alpha value 799 at the end of the 27th questions. Keywords: Entrepreneur, Women Entrepreneurship, Women Entrepreneurs Problems.
