Determining status of application scientific proces and research skill of biology teachers

In nowadays the amount of scientific datas increases by day and day. It becomes impossible to follow them in individual life. By the way, countries need some individuals that can catch up on speed of information, can solve problems, can ask questions, can produce solutions to problems to be in racing with other countries. To educate that featured individuals countries change their education policy. Scientific researches and scientific processes skill are become more important by last changes made. In our country, firstly changes made in Science and Technology programmes that educated in primary education level, in 2004. By the 2008-2009 education year, changes made in secondary education Biology programmes. The prominent point in this programme is less and quintessence data. Instead of memorization and remembering of data, improving of atteinment to data, using data, skill and understanding of data is emphasisysed. The expected satisfactoriness in teachers, which are operators of programme are grouped in three ways: Branch knoweledge, branch education knoweledge and biology literature. Recovery of scientific process skill are grouped in biology literature. There made many researches to identify scientific researches and scientific skill process of students that are stateside and abroad, teacher candidates and teachers (BAS). Beside it, there are also many topics such as, the applyment situation of scientific skill process, contribution and status of different methods.According to this studies, the big part success of programme is belonging to teachers. It is expected that, as much teachers uses scientific skill process, as big probability success of students occur. In this connection, the aim of this study is, determining usable status of that skills of teachers that have a big role in the gaining of scientific research and scientific process skill to studentsAlso, if there are changes of teachers age, gender, proffession experience, wether in-service education is taken or not, type of graduated school, in condition taking of formation education are determined. Research will actualized in one way. In this research Semi structured interview form is used. Workgroup is consists of 20 different secondary biology teachers that are from Izmir. Voluntariness and accessibility to study was firstly considered. Semi structured interview is prepared as to exhibit scientific research and scientific process skill. "Interview Form Determining of Application Status Scientific Research and Scientific Process Skill Of Biology Teachers" is used to gather data that is prepared by ourselves. According to data that was obtained in study, how the skills of scientific researches and scientific process is used in lessons are determined. Why they used scientific research and scientific process skills is analyzed, or why not. As generally, it is seen that teachers exhibit the same reasons. By considering study finddings, it is suggested to teachers to; enough instruction about scientific process and research skills, provide identification of scientific process and research skills of teacher candidates in lisence lessons and resloving common problems in scientific process and research skills. Also by emerging the outcome of this thesis, better studies can be made in this subject, fundamentals gan be generated in teacher satisfactoriness or other studies about scientific researchs and process skills Key Words: Scientific Researchs and Process Skills, Teacher Satisfactoriness, Secondary Education Biology Programme,Secondary Education Biology teacher
