Özet (EN)

This thesis investigates the effects of microgravity conditions on the growth dynamics of Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 bacteria. A CubeSat life science module designed in accordance with NASA CubeSat standards and a 3D clinostat system for simulating microgravity were developed. The study focuses on hardware and mechanical designs to ensure the reliable execution of biological experiments in space environments. The logarithmic growth phase of Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 was analyzed using the Baranyi growth model. The experiments provided a detailed assessment of factors such as temperature, initial population, and sample type affecting bacterial growth dynamics. The results revealed that microgravity simulations slow down bacterial growth processes while promoting stable growth. Notably, a temperature of 21°C, fresh samples, and an initial concentration of 10 µL and 1 colony were determined to be optimal conditions. This study provides a robust foundation for future research in space biology and offers significant insights into the effects of microgravity on biological systems.
