Abstract (EN)

During the thesis study, a new BODIPY derivative (BODIPY-6) was obtained by derivatizing the BODIPY body from the meso position and its usability as a spectrophotometric sensor for Fe2+ and as an electrochemical sensor for Cu2+ was demonstrated. Additionally, the monostyryl BODIPY-5, which is shown in the literature to be usable as a spectrophotometric sensor for Cu2+, was also shown to be usable as an electrochemical sensor for Cu2+. When the fluorescence spectrum of BODIPY-6 was examined in the presence of ions, it observed that it selectively binds to Fe3+, mostly Fe2+, compared to Cu2+. From the calibration graphs of the complexes, While LOD, LOQ, RSD and recovery were calculated as 28.665 µM, 95.551 µM, 0.009017 and 94.06% for Fe2+, LOD, LOQ, RSD were found as 30.999 µM, 103.3312 µM, 0.0012113 for Fe3+, respectively. LOD, LOQ, RSD and recovery were calculated for Cu2+ ion of BODIPY-5 were calculated as 1.79 µM, 5.967 µM, 0.0639 as 99.65%, respectively. In the electrochemical sensor study, the modified pencil graphite electrodes (BODIPY-5/PPy/KGE and BODIPY-6/PPy/KGE) were prepared under optimum conditions by CV method. The electrochemical responses of the electrodes at certain concentrations of Cu2+ were examined by DPV method. While LOD and LOQ for Cu2+ were calculated as 0.046 ppm, 0.153 ppm by using BODIPY-5/PPy/KGE, the values were found as 0.069 ppm, 0.231 ppm by using BODIPY-6/PPy/KGE. As a result of the analyzes carried out on different water samples, the recovery values of BODIPY-6/PPy/KGE and BODIPY-5/PPy/KGE were calculated as 94.67 – 102.86% and 94.86 – 102.66%, respectively.
