Abstract (EN)
Bolu Mountain Tunnel was tunnel planned in 1977 and its foundation was laid in 1993 and completed in 2007, the construction duration of which lasted longest in Turkey?s history. This area is a region where traffic is the heaviest because it is not only the first important transition between east and west buta also a region whose topographical effect Anatolian highway. First analyzing what sort of effects the traffic flow caused then the transportation sector and the economic added-value it has created for Bolu could be a model that has been created in accordance with general implementation fundamentals rather than the specific ones of other geographies for these kinds of investments. Determining the essential aspects that would constitute this model, the economic benefits and the security of traffic flow it provided have been established. By determining the findings above, the considerations below have been explained. The considerations such as the information about the pay- load and passenger of Bolu Mountain pass and D-100 main road which is trying to meet the need and was in service before, form of the public and private sector investments to meet the human and vehicle needs on this pass, its usuance and economic size, loss of life and property related to traffic accidents, the interviews and findings from the comparison made by researching its effects on the sector and the investments in Bolu specifically, the opinions and evaluation of the managers vii witnessing the change in the economic structure of the managements in this geography, the expectations of the managements run since the completion of the project and examining the investments in future have all been presented.
