Abstract (EN)
Today,great developments have been made in the industrial field and accordingly,industrial waste has become an issue that is gaining importance day by day.In this direction waste management issues such as the use of waste materials as raw materials and there use of used raw materials have become very importance.One of the most important elements of the construction industry is concrete.Boron is one of the industrial wastes that can be used instead of cement in concrete.Turkey is in a very important position in term of boron reserves. In this study,the use of ground colemanite,which is a by-product of boron,with certain percentages instead of cement and its effects on the strength and durability of the concrete to be obtained were investigated.Fresh concrete experiments were carried out on each type of concrete produced and placed in cube-shaped molds of 150x150x150 mm.The samples remaining in the molds for twenty four hours were removed from the mold sand kept in lime saturated water at room temperature for 7,28 ve 90 days.The strength and durability properties of the samples extracted from the water were investigated by pressure,splitting,water absorption,sand the effect of ground colemanite was observed.According to the results obtained from the 7 day crushing,the average compressive strength value of the witness sample was 51,35MPa,while the average compressive strength value of the %0,5 added sample was 47,39MPa,the average compressive strength value of the %1,0 added sample was 47,08MPa,and the average compressive strength value of the %1,5 added sample was 42.87.It has been observed that the strength decreases gradually depending on the increase in the amount of ground colemanite in the early strength. However,when the 90-day strengths are considered the average compressive strength of the 90 day witness sample is 73,67MPa,the average compressive strength of the %0,5 added sample is 73,79MPa,the average compressive strength of the %1,0 added sample is 74,48MPa and the average compressive strength of the %1,5 added sample is 74,36MPa. By looking at the compressive strength values,it has been observed that the pressure values of the samples with colemanite additive scatch the witness sample in the long term. As a result,it has been seen that ground colemanite which is a by-product of boron,can be used instead of cement with certain percentages.
