Abstract (EN)

This study investigates the relationship between board gender diversity and company profitability with a sample of companies quoted at the Borsa Istanbul between the years 2012 and 2017. The results suggest that the ratio of female directors and the presence of female directors on company boards do not have a relationship with company profitability. The results are robust to various model specifications and variables. Keywords: Borsa Istanbul, Company Profitability, Female Directors, Gender Diversity.
