Abstract (EN)
Proverbs and idioms play a crucial role in verbal literature, constituting an integral part of language lexicons. Organ names are fundamental linguistic elements. Idioms formed by these organ names serve as an effective means of conveying emotions, thoughts, cultures, and traditions among individuals through the use of body parts. Linguistics provides evidence of this phenomenon. In our research, we aimed to identify idioms in Bosnian and Turkish created based on organ names, exploring the extent to which these languages influence each other in this regard. Firstly, we compared idioms formed by the identified organ names, examining commonalities or differences with Bosnian idioms based on features identified in studies on Turkish idioms. Secondly, we analyzed them in terms of form and meaning, and thirdly, in relation to emotion. We categorized words based on organ names, providing examples under functional headings. This examination of the organ names used will serve as a guiding framework for future studies.
