Abstract (EN)

Subphthalocyanines (SubPc) are compounds that have a boron atom in their center and have taken the shape of a cone with their 3 isoindole units attached to the boron atom present in the center. The 14π-electron in the structure of SubPc is found in a delocalized form in the structure. Since the boron atom in the center of SubPc determines the molecular axis of the structure, unlike other macrocyclic aromatic compounds, it takes the form of a cone rather than a planar. Unlike common planar aromatic compounds, the conical cells of SubPc prevent aggregation tendency in organic solvents. In the ultraviolet and visible light (UV-Vis) spectrum of SubPc, two characteristic intense absorption bands, Q (500-700 nm) and Soret-B (300 nm) are seen. The absorption peaks of SubPc can be shifted to longer wavelengths by donor or acceptor groups to be attached to the peripheral position of the structure. In this master's thesis study, the photophysical and electrochemical characterizations of synthesized, photophysical and electrochemical characterizations of new SubPc derivatives were investigated, and the potential for electric energy generation from sunlight in dye-based solar cells was investigated. In addition, the effects of different groups attached to the peripheral position of SubPc on the solubility, absorption and HOMO-LUMO energy levels of the molecule were investigated.
