An Educational approach to al-Ababu'l -Mufrad of al-Bukhari

This study is an attempt to evaluate Buhârî's books, al-Adabu'l Müfred, which contain especially ethical sayings of Prophet Muhammed, from the educational point of view. We tried to point out some educational psychological and sociological foundations, aims, subjects, principles and methods which included in Prophet's sayings and to compare them with modern education vision. This research is limited of Buhârî's el- Edebü'l Müfred books. In this work it is used documental search and content analyze methods. Having given information about Buhârî's life, books, and aim, importance of this study an introduction. We discussed in the first chapter, the psychological and sociological foundations of education with reference to al-Adabu'1-Müfred. tn the second chapter, it is tried to point out educational aims, in the third chapter, educational subjects in the fourth chapter, education's principles and methods of education respectively. At the end, we made an attept to offer a new outlook about religious education in İslam in general, and a new view points to the hadiths of Prophet Muhammed in particular.
