Determination of morphological and anatomical properties of Bunium brachyactis(post) wolff

In this study, the morphological and anatomical features of Bunium brachyactis belonging to Apiaceae family were examined and described. Apiaceae (Umbelliferae) family, flowering plants are difficult to identify members. The members of this family are among the plants of economic value in the world and are represented by approximately 450 genera and 3700 species in the world. Most of these family members are distinguished by umbellate flower status, specialized fruits consisting of two single-seeded mericarps connected by a carpophore and numerous small epigin flowers. These plants are used as spices in meals and salads with aromatic compounds found in leaves and fruits. There are 45-50 species of Bunium genus belonging to Apiacaeae family. In this study, the distribution of the species in the region was determined and morphological and anatomical features were tried to be determined. Morphological and anatomical characteristics of tubers, leaves, flowers and fruits of Bunium brachyactis were examined. Sections taken in anatomical studies were photographed with Nikon d1700 body and microscope with 18X140 lens.
