This study, entitled "Al-Burdah poem by Al-Busiri, a semantic and analytical study," aimed to study the use of al-Busiri (the writor of the Burdah poem in praise of the Prophet Mohammad PBUH- for all kinds of rhetorical arts, and their indications, and showing the extent of his creativity in composing the rhetorical image based on imagination, simile, or metaphor, and studying the creative rhythm in the poem through an applied study based on the following approches: the historical descriptive approach in studying the biography of Imam Al Busiri, the inductive and analytical approach in presenting the rhetorical methods used in the verses, and analyzing them according to the techniques of rhetoric, Likewise, the deductive method when referring to the function of the rhetorical arts included in the poem in influencing the listener, and serveing the intended meaning. The study concluded the following: AlBusayri was proficient in using the methods of semantics: The declarative phrases came out with metaphorical meanings according to the context and the denominator, including: Complaining about the state of love and the lover in general and in particular, glorifying and clarifying status. The construction phrases like the command, it was in its explicit form (do) to perform multiple meanings, such as supplication, such as the call in AlBurdah reported the meaning of seeking relief. With regard to the the termination phrases , it was little, because the main sujbect of the poem, was the praise, hope, and Tawassul (intercession) through the Prophet PBUH, in order to heal, not to preach, guide, teach, and warn. Al-Busiri had a rich imagination that appeared in his high ability to use analogy and employ it in praise of the Prophet, so he likened the Prophet PBUH to the full moon, the sea, blossom and eternity, which are all meanings of aspiration, beauty, generosity, courage and strength. Likewise, in his employment of metaphor in both its declarative and accusative forms in describing Islam and the characteristics of the honorable Companions. As for the metaphor, it was in presenting the conditions of love by mentioning the places, and the associated nostalgia and longing. The study referred to Al-Busiri's creativity in verbal improvements, Al-Tabaq collected the meanings of antagonism indicating the comprehensiveness and greatness of the Prophet PBUH, as for the perfect anagram, it was to add music as a sound energy that affected the semantic capacity of the verses, likewise, al-Sadr's response to impotence strengthens the meaning.
