Investigation of Burdur city center Köprübaşı urban corridor in the context of participatory design

The aim of the study is to examine the urban corridors, which are of great importance for cities and the individuals using this space, and the participatory design approaches that have been increasingly used in recent years. The accuracy of ten hypotheses created in this direction was investigated. The material of the study consists of previous international and national research on the subject and a survey form. SPSS program was used in the analysis of the data obtained as a result of the survey. Adobe Photoshop CS6 program was used in the preparation of the images. In this thesis, handling the Köprübaşı urban corridor, which has an important place in Burdur's economic, cultural and social life, with a participatory design approach constitutes the study material. In the study, the survey method was used to examine and evaluate the Burdur city center Köprübaşı urban corridor in the context of participatory design. Face-to-face questionnaires were applied to a total of 225 people in the study area and 195 questionnaires were evaluated. The data obtained as a result of the applied questionnaires were analyzed by the SPSS program. As a result, it has been revealed whether the evaluation of the elements of the urban corridors varies depending on the user qualities. According to the data obtained, it is possible to say that it is necessary to ensure the participation of users in the planning, design and development of such spaces. It is thought that the spaces arranged in this direction may be more qualified.
