Abstract (EN)
Alexander the Great, who became the head of the Ancient Macedonian Kingdom after the death of Philippos in 336 BC, had a profound impact not only on Macedonian history but also on world history with his actions during his reign on the Macedonian throne between 336 and 323 BC. During this period, he spent the majority of his thirteen-year reign, eleven years between 334 and 323 BC, in the territory of the Persian Empire, erasing the Persian Empire from the stage of history. He spent the part of this period, which corresponded to a period of approximately one and a half years, starting with the spring of 334 BC and ending with the autumn of 333 BC, in Asia Minor, which coincides with today's Anatolian territory. He spent the winter of the end of 334 BC and the beginning of 333 BC, which corresponded to a few months of this period, in Lykia and Pamphylia, which coincide with the borders of today's Antalya. Thus, in this study, the strategy followed by Alexander on the basis of Lykia and Pamphylia, the routes he passed in the relevant region and the resulting route were tried to be investigated. In addition, military and political events that occurred during the movement in the relevant historical and geographical areas were discussed. Ultimately, in the light of ancient and modern sources and with the help of archaeological data, it is hoped to reveal more information about the expedition, about which less is known in terms of the history of Alexander, and the passage of Lykia and Pamphylia, which is important for the history of the Mediterranean.
