Abstract (EN)

In our country and world, many rivers are polluted by uncleaned urban and factory wastewater, unconscious agricultural practices. Pesticide pollution come first for agriculture pollution. The aim of this study was to determine the seasonal pesticide pollution of Great Menderes River which is an important irrigation water source for the region, to make ecotoxicological bioassay over the effects of plants as irrigation water and to show its transportation due to model of the plant. In summer and winter from 8 different point of the river province border of Aydın and Denizli, water and sediment samples were taken and analyzed. In total 41 pesticides and metabolite were determined and in those pesticides there were forbidden pesticides containing OCP group. In water samples as the highest concentration was endosulfate in summer with 3226,9 ng/L, in sediment samples was 289,9 ng/g pyrimethanil in winter. The results show that Great Menderes River is still polluted with OCPs despite it is long forbidden. In Lepidium sativum germination test it is observed that in examples taken from the 6th point, there were obstacles to germination. At the mutation test of Arabidopsis thaliana, the water examples taken from Great Menderes River there were increase at the whole mutation frequency. Due to the model assumed that purchasing from the root, the cranberry bean watered with the water taken from Great Menderes River pesticide accumulation is observed and the most pesticide accumulation in root, leaf and fruit is in order to measured 44,4 ppb, 0,2 ppb and 0,9 ppb pyrimethanil.
