Abstract (EN)

Language teaching and learning has become very important due to the increasing number of language learners in today's global World. Turkish is one of the world languages of which learners has been ascending rapidly for he last decade. This brings with the methodological issues and problems related to Turkish teaching. In this context, the scientific work dealing with teaching Turkish as a foreign/second language has mounted up. Error analysis is one of the current topics in this area. In this study, the written compositions of 34 Turkish learners were analyzed in terms of spelling and punctuation, morphology, lexicology and syntax errors. The types and frequencies of errors were described, and presented in tables. An optional and prospective error correction was made for each of the errors in the study. The most problematic areas were that of spelling and punctuation and case marking in nominal inflection. This study has contributed to explore the problematic themes and topics of Turkish for learners.
