Ca'fer-i Tayyâr - Rehber-i Gülistân (Review-text-index)

In this thesis, the Turkish work of Ca'fer-i Tayyâr, named Rehber-i Gülistân, which is one of the last period commentaries on the Persian Gülistân work belonging to Sa'dî-i Şîrâzî, one of the most prominent poets of Islamic literature, has been studied in accordance with scientific methods. In this study, it is aimed to present this work, which is one of the last period works of commentary literature, to the benefit of the scientific world and to create a source text for the studies to be done in this field. In the study, information about the life and works of Gülistân commentator Ca'fer-i Tayyâr is given, based on archive sources and recent academic studies, although the available information is limited. Afterwards, the content of this work, which was studied on, was examined on the method of translation and annotation. While translating this work, which is a printed text, into new letters, only the 'ayn, hamza, long vowels and compound readings are shown instead of transcribing. In the last part, an index has been created that includes the main words in the work and special names such as person and place names in order to facilitate the researchers.
