Abstract (EN)
In this study; a Chagatai Maktel-i Hüseyin text, which was found in the city of Takhar in the northeast of Afghanistan and written in Eastern Turkish using the lithographic technique, was examined. The work starts on page 97. The first 96 pages of the text are missing. The last page of the work we have ends with page number 348. However, the fact that the narration does not end and continues passionately suggests that this is not the whole book. We have a 252-page text that can be read and examined. The transcription of the work was prepared, its translation into Turkish was made, its grammatical features were determined and examined, and a grammatical index of the text was created. The work was discussed in seven sections in all its aspects: The first section covers general information works about Hüseyin's murder. Information about the Chagatai Hüseyin's murder, which is being studied, general information about the geography and the Turkish population of the region where the work is located, and the spelling features of the text are included. The second section covers the phonetic and structural features of the text and its vocabulary in terms of word types. The obtained data are compared with other historical and contemporary branches of Turkish, especially Chagatai and Khwarezm Turkish. The third section includes evaluation and conclusion information about the work examined. The fourth section includes the transcription text of the examined work. In this section, some Arabic and Persian couplets, prayers and verses in the original text of the work have been preserved. In the fifth section, the translation of the Chagatai Bir Maktel-i Hüseyin into Turkish was made and the translation of the couplets, verses and prayers quoted from Arabic and Persian into Turkish was also given. The translation of the work was carried out in a mixed verse and prose style, remaining faithful to the text. The sixth section of the study includes a facsimile of the work examined. In the index, which is the seven section of the study, the grammatical index of the text, which constitutes the fourth part of this study, was created. The meanings and frequency of the words in their usage in the text are indicated, along with their origins. Key Words: A Maktel-i Hüseyin in Chagatai, The story of Hüseyin's murder, Kerbelâ, Eastern Turkish.
