Examination of contemporary educational structures in the scope of basic design principles

The purpose of this study is to show how basic design concepts taught in theory are used and affected in practice. It is to provide new resources to design students, trainers, designers and relevant audience. In this way, it is aimed to develop creative thoughts of students. In the content, theoretical-practical relationship is analyzed by considering basic design concepts, application solutions and their use in life. As a matter of fact, it is a kind of answer to the question of "how the concepts taught in basic design education were/should be used in space designs." In this context, two role model schools from modern education structures were selected and analyzes were made based on the basic design concepts. During the study, data such as literature review, photographing and conference listening were collected as a method. In the thesis process, the concept of design, its interdisciplinary approach and education were emphasized, then the basic design concepts and design principles were discussed under headings and analyzed with examples. At the end of the chapter, new evaluations were made by associating these analyzed educational structures with design principles. At the end of the study, it was emphasized that the basic design concepts do not remain in an abstract state, but are always related to the main purpose.
