Abstract (EN)

Orientalism, which is an idea that the Christian western world aims to influence and govern the Muslim eastern world in every field, especially religion, and tries to dominate over it, gained momentum especially in the 19th and 20th centuries, and numerous studies on the Holy Book of Islam, the Qur'an. they have done. The different recitation of the Qur'an, which continues to be discussed even today, is one of the most concentrated topics on the source and reasons of this recitation. This study has been prepared to address and evaluate some of the criticisms directed by orientalists about the Qur'an and different recitations. The study consists of an introduction and three parts. In the introduction, the definition, subject, importance and short history of the science of qiraat are mentioned. Detailed information is given about the revelation, memorization, writing, collection and copying of the Qur'an. In addition, the concept of orientalism and its short history are also discussed. In the second part, the claims of orientalists about the text of the Qur'an and the history of texting are discussed and evaluated. In the third chapter, it is devoted to the subject of recitations and the views of orientalists on this issue and the approach of Muslims to these views are discussed. While some orientalists were able to maintain their impartiality in the name of scientific ethics during these studies, many of them could not maintain their impartiality in this sense and made negative criticisms for a certain purpose.
