The ordinary of pain contemporary art

The aim of this thesis is to deal with the problem of "numbness", which arises from the pain created by the phenomenon of violence in society, in relation to art. The problematic itself has been examined by going down to the most basic source of numbness. This collection of problems addressed aims to question the place between the artist and the audience and the forms of expression in plastic expression. The phenomenon of violence, which becomes chronic in every period of society, and the problem it creates were analyzed from different points as a whole and analyzed through the concepts of "Violence", "Pain" and "numbness ". It has been discussed how the artists living in their own period were affected by the traumas in the society and how they took an attitude in this situation. These researches constitute the main starting point of my artistic productions.
