Abstract (EN)

This study, which aims to reveal the phonological changes and developments in the consonants of contemporary Turkish dialects, deals with the consonants in the contemporary Turkish dialects and the sound changes seen in these consonants. In the study, synchronous and diachronic grammatical methods were preferred together, and the consonants in contemporary Turkish dialects were compared with the consonant presence of Old Turkish, which consists of the Köktürk, Uyghur and Karahanlı Turkish periods, and the appearance of the consonants in the front, inner and last voices was tried to be determined. The data of the study were obtained by the document analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods. In this study, which has been comparatively examined in terms of the appearance, sound properties and sound changes of the consonants in contemporary Turkish dialects, it has been tried to reveal the closeness of the dialects and dialect groups with each other, the phonetic ties or differences between them. This study is designed in three section. These chapters are the First Section consisting of Introduction, Concept of Consonant and Consonants in World Languages, Appearance and Characteristics of Consonants in Turkish Language; the Second Section titled Consonants and Consonant Changes in Contemporary Turkish Dialects, which includes the phonological appearances of consonants and the sound events related to consonants, and the Conclusion Section, which includes the conclusions about the findings obtained from these chapters. After these sections, there is the Appendix section, which consists of the tables showing the phonemic consonants of the modern Turkish dialects as a whole, and the References section, where the sources used in the work are shown.
