Abstract (EN)
Hamiye Çolakoğlu is an artist who made important contributions to Turkish ceramical art with her Teachings, art and academical studies.She was born as a second child of a Black Sea family with five children. Her love for arts lasted through her life time. With the great support from her family, She fullfilled her childhood dream of becoming an artist. Her education on fine arts started on elementary and highschool years and Continued in Italy when she won scholarship in 1959. In Italy she took education on Ceramical arts and Scenic desing. Upon returning to her homeland she established her workshop and started her artistic works. Her ceramical arts beside, she contributed to every aspect of art. In 1983 in order to contribute Turkish Ceramical Arts with her educator identity, she established Ceramical arts in Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts. Beside her contrubutions on ceramic arts as an aducator and hundreds of studens and young academicians sge raised, She made Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts Ceramic and Glass Desing one of the most important educational establishment. In this Thesis; Her life and contrubitions on art, artists childhood years, education, the time she spent in Italy, her contrubitions on Hacettepe University, her art pieces and contribution on litterature, special interviews and documentaries were tried to be presented.
