Evaluation of the beliefs and traditions of the jahiliyya period in the context of hadiths

This thesis examines the pre-Islamic era of Jahiliyyah within the context of Hadith literature, exploring its beliefs, rituals, socio-cultural dynamics, and economic characteristics. The first section delves into the concept of Jahiliyyah as depicted in the Quran, along with its fundamental attributes. Topics such as Zanne'l-Jahiliyyah, Teberruce'l- Jahiliyyah, Hamiyyete'l-Jahiliyyah, and Hükme'l-Jahiliyyah are scrutinized. The second section provides a more detailed examination of the Jahiliyyah period through the lens of Hadith literature. It explores Hadiths related to beliefs, rituals/legal matters, socio-cultural issues, and economic aspects prevalent during the Jahiliyyah era. These Hadiths elucidate various facets of the Jahiliyyah period and its corresponding practices.
