The contribution of the main values for Turkish language teaching in the tales by Cahit UÇuk

Children education starts with language acquisition and education, which are the ones of the most important factors of a culture. Language is an important tool which provides the communication among people and also it provides a person to integrate with public and to express himself well. Furthermore, it?s also an important tool that it reminds a person his past, carries on his today, and prepares him for his future. Learning of this tool in a good way can also be provided with an effective literary background, education, and native language acquisition. Thus, it emerges that Turkish has great importance. It?s obvious that the responsibility of teaching native language in Turkey is on Turkish Education.The literary texts which reflect the perception, the way of thinking, and the aesthetic pleasure of public have an important role in the process of the acquisition and education of Turkish. The tales which are important especially for children should be given a role in this process. In the process of providing these skills in Turkish Teaching, the necessity of giving a place for ethical, social, religious, aesthetics, national, and universal values should be provided via the texts by reason of the fact that it's known and mentioned in the program which were prepared.In this study, especially 15 tale books written by Cahit Uçuk have been examined, and then 10 of them have been chosen among the other 20 values which take place in the Instruction Schedule for Social Studies (for the 6th and 7th grades). This choice has been done because educational attainments about the values don?t exist in Turkish Language Education Programme and it has also been done because there is an interaction between the lessons. The 10 values which were chosen have been added two more values which were chosen among the classification about values. Thus, value components in the tales have been classified and the importance of them has been laid emphasis on. As a result of the evaluation studies, it has been discovered that there are 589 values in 15 tale books which were examined, and there are mostly religious values among them.On the subject of determining about how tales make contribution on Turkish Education, idioms, reduplications, mimetic words, pattern words, and proverbs were examined with the aspect of their features and contributions and tried to be revealed their importance of contribution of Turkish Language Teaching. For this purpose, it has been researched and revealed the density of the words in the tales, and it has been determined that there are different amounts and totals of words.By taking into consideration of native language acquisition and Turkish language teaching, it has been approved that the language and the values are elements of a culture and they have great importance in children?s education if we deal with the language and the values entirely.Key Words: Tales by Cahit Uçuk, the Education of the Values, Turkish Teaching
