A sogiological research on the position of working women in family: In case of Irak/Erbil

From past to present, it is known that women have difficulties in being included in the labor market and in holding on to the labor market, and they face some problems. Although the barriers encountered in most of the countries are similar, the type of barriers that are more dominant differ depending on the level of development, socio-economic structure of the countries and the qualification status of the women who will participate in the market. The inclusion of women in the labor market not only affects social and economic life, but also creates effects at the work and family level. In this study, the position of women working in Erbil in the family was investigated. The research was conducted on married women working in the private and public sectors in Erbil. In the study, data were obtained through the questionnaire technique. As a result, the roles/positions of women in the family have changed significantly after they were included in the working life. It has been found that working women have developed some facilitating solutions in order to balance work and home life.
