Abstract (EN)
The phenomenon of poverty dates back to as far as human history, but it has recently been associated with unemployment. However, the fact that individuals have jobs today does not prevent them from being exposed to the risk of poverty. The number of employees who have a job in the world and in our country, but cannot get out of poverty, is increasing, which gives rise to the concept of "working poor". In this study, the factors causing employee poverty and the relationship of work, profession, precarious work with employee poverty will be examined and the dimension of employee poverty in the world and in Turkey will be discussed. At the same time, the policies applied to employee poverty will be examined.
