Özet (EN)

This study investigates the relationship of the employee responses under conflicting situations to the masculinity/femininty dimensions of the national culture of pharmaticul industry in a sample of 167 employees from Adana, Diyarbakır and Istanbul region by using case study method. The result of the study, indicates that there is no relationship between worker's educational status and degree of masculinity femininity. Furthermore in this study results showed that city culture where the employee lives is more efffective than organizational culture. Another important result of the study is that there is a meaningfull relationship between employee response alternatives such as accomodating and collaborating under conflicting situations and degree of femininty. There fore some of the findings seem to be consistent with the previous studies. It is concluded that the results could be used by managers in order to predict possible employee responses under conflict situationand develop effective approaches and strategies to resolve conflict among employees. In a sense it is proposed that both conflict and culture need to be considered to increase managerial effectivenes Key Words: Culture, National Culture, Masculinty/Femininity, Conflict, Conflict Results.
