Abstract (EN)

In our contemporary working life, due to rapid technological and industrial developments, mental and physical exhaustion and tiredness including depersonalization, consequences of which are further felt, affecting psyhcologically ana physically the working people have become one of the complicated and problematic matters in working life. Emotional exhaustion, insensitivity and lack of personal achievement that have impact upon the efficiancy of workers and their organizations may be defined as three dimensional sendrom. The aim of this study is focused upon exploring the relationships between the exhaustive levels and demographic features of nurses working for public hospitals. Emprical investigation is present within a theoritical framework that in turn advocates the articulation of data obtained. This study covers 219 nurses working in , Recep Tayyıp Erdogan, University Training And Research Hospital. According to the analysis, an emotional exhaustion, depersonalisation and insensitivity of nurses at relatively low level and the aspect of personal achievement in the same group at a very high level have been concretely identified. Some suggestions regarding a method that could be used to mitigate emotional and physical exhaustion that nurses experience are present as a conclusion.
