In this study, the treatment of the cooling water was investigated in order to prevent corosion in the pipes of the water system in Trakya Cam Industry, Tarsus-Mersin Factory. For this, water samples were taken from the cooling water and a test work was applied. The fisrt method conducted was flocculation and some flocculants having different type and molecular weight were used. The results show that, using only ultrafiltration %71 of the microorganizms were removed from the cooling water. Later, using Magnafloc-1011 in the flocculation tests %63 of the microorganizms were removed from the cooling water. Finally, flocculation-ultrafiltration experiments were carried out and the results show that %83 of the microorganizms could be removed from the cooling water.
